Advisory on Rainfall/Snow
An intense Western Disturbance lies over the Western Himalayan Region which is moving eastward. There could be moisture feed to the system from the Arabian Sea.
Under the influence of the system, light to moderate snowfall is likely over the high altitude areas and passes of Western, Northern and Central Bhutan from 7th February (evening) to 9th February. Light to moderate rainfall is very likely over the remaining parts of the country. Thunderstorms/hailstorm is also likely over isolated places during this period.
