Weather Advisory on Rainfall

Bhutan is experiencing pre-monsoon season, which starts from March to the end of May. Currently, there is convergence of strong moist winds from the Bay of Bengal. Under the influence of the system, light to moderate rainfall is expected over the country during the next 72 hours (15-17 April). Thunderstorms accompanied with lightning and gusty wind can be expected at isolated parts of the country, during the same period. Due to thunderstorms there is possibility of hail over isolated parts in southern and eastern parts of the country.
