Advisory on Rainfall and Flash floods/Floods

Rainfall

Under the influence of the cyclone ‘AMPHAN’, heavy rainfall is most likely over the southeastern and eastern parts of the country during the next 48 hours (21-22 May, 2020). Rest of the places are likely to receive moderate to heavy rainfall. Thunderstorms and gusty winds are likely over the isolated parts of the country during the same period. 

Flash floods/Flood

Due to moderate and heavy rainfall, flash floods/floods and landslides are most likely over southern and eastern parts and isolated parts of northern, western and central parts of the country during the next 72 hours (21-23rd May, 2020).
