Weather Remarks on the developing low pressure area in the Bay of Bengal

As of now, there is no impact of the developing cyclone system on Bhutan, however, due to the western disturbance passing over the country, partly to mostly cloudy weather with light rain is expected over isolated parts of the country on 9th May. Gusty winds are also likely over the western and northeastern parts of the country.

From 10- 11 May, partly cloudy weather with light rain with gusty winds is expected over the country. 

However, owing to the continuous rainfall received over most places in Bhutan over the past two weeks, there is a possibility of landslide and flash flood over isolated places of the country.
