The National Centre for Hydrology and Meteorology conducted a Ninth Session of National Climate Outlook Forum (NCOF-9) on 31st May, 2023 in Thimphu. The workshop aimed at imparting knowledge of climate services and summer monsoon outlook for June - September, 2023. As a regular program invitee, Lopen Karma Dendup, an expert from Pangri Zampa College for Astrology, delivered the forecast for precipitation and temperature from a traditional perspective. The press release on the summer monsoon outlook was issued during the program. The program was attended by various stakeholders such as Department of Environment and Climate Change (DoECC), Department of Energy (DoE), Department of Public Health (DoPH), Department of Surface Transport (DoST)t, Department of Air Transport (DoAT), and Department of Local Governance and Disaster Management (DoLGDM). The program was supported by the GCF Project.
