Deep depression over the Southeast Bay of Bengal has intensify into tropical cyclone named 'PHETHAI' and is moving towards the coast of north Andhra Pradesh.
The cyclone may not directly impact Bhutan. However, under the influence of the system, moderate to heavy rain is likely over the country during 17th - 18th December.
Snowfall is also likely over the high land areas of elevation above 3000 meters during this period.
