Weather Remarks on Well Marked Low Pressure System over Southeast Bay of Bengal

Time of Issue: 4:00 PM

A low pressure area was formed on 13th May 2020 over the southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining south Andaman Sea. It now lies as a Well Marked Low Pressure Area and is very likely to concentrate into a Depression over the same region during next 12 hours and further intensify into a Cyclonic Storm over central parts of south Bay of Bengal by tomorrow, 16th May. It is very likely to move towards the north Bay of Bengal on 18th-20th May.

Currently, there is no direct impact of the system to Bhutan

NCHM is closely monitoring the system and any impacts to Bhutan will be updated immediately.
