The National Center for Hydrology and Meteorology provides technical backstopping in site selection and installation of the proposed new station. The agency in need of the service can request the office for installation. The center will discuss with the relevant services division on the requirement, duplication, adequacy and representativeness of the proposed station and recommend the decision accordingly. The agency, however, will only provide technical expertise and all other cost have to be borne.
