Advisory Update-2

UPDATE: This advisory is the extension of the earlier update advisory issued on 25th August.

Active monsoon is still prevailing over the country. Moderate rainfall is likely to continue over the isolated places of the country during the next 48 hours (27-29 August).

The country received moderate to heavy rainfall in the past week with the highest recorded rainfall of 245mm from Gelephu station on 25th August 2021.

Flash floods, landslides, and riverine floods are very likely over the southern and isolated places of the country within 48 hours.

The update will be issued if there are any significant changes in the forecast.
