Weather Remarks : Information on Windstorm

Bhutan is currently in the post monsoon season. Windstorms are expected during the pre monsoon (March-April-May), post monsoon (Oct-Nov) and winter month of Dec, during the transition period when the wind direction is changing. The country also experienced windstorms during this period last year. The damages last year were mostly to agricultural crops, a few incidents of winds blowing off rooftops, damage to temporary structures and trees falling.
