For the past 5 days, few places in the south received moderate to heavy rain. 

Owing to the strong south westerly winds from the Bay of Bengal towards North East India and the western disturbance, there is forecast of moderate to heavy rain in the southern parts of the country during the next 72 hours.  The rest of the country can expect light rain. 

Thunderstorms are also likely at a few places during the same period. 

Updates will be issued if there are significant changes in the forecast.
