Weather Advisory on Cyclone Sitrang

A low-pressure system developed in the Southeastern Bay of Bengal on 21st October and intensified into a cyclonic storm “Sitrang” (Si-Trang). It is likely to move north-northeastwards and intensify further into a severe cyclone storm. 

Owing to this, moderate to heavy rain is likely in the southeastern, eastern, and central parts of the country from the evening of 24th to 25th October 2022. The rest of the regions can expect mostly cloudy weather with light rain. Gusty wind is also likely over the eastern parts of the country.
